If you're a bit confused about the new look and functionality of our website, don't
worry, much of what you were used to has not changed...too much. To get a quick
overview on how to use the new public records online directory, please read this
short help page. We will attempt to highlight the easiest way to find what you are
looking for and show you how to use the site even more efficiently than before.
To jump to a particular section of help, you can click the labeled screen shot
below.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
County/City/Township websites that are listed in our directory are
NOT affiliated with NETR. We do not maintain or provide any support for these sites,
we have only linked to them. If you are having trouble while visiting these, you
would need to contact their web site administrator. The green bar that remains at
the top of the screen is our frame which we use to allow a visitor to return to
our site easily. Some links will open in a new window due to either a request by
the web master of the linked site or due to an inability for the page to be seen
correctly with our frame.
1) The New County/Township Select Box
The public records online portal has been created so that a user may quickly navigate
to their area of interest as quickly and as easily as possible. Our new county listing
helps consolidate a long page-full of data into an easy-to-use select box. Utilizing
our new NETR One-Click™ page design, clicking
or selecting a county/township from the list will load the listing directly onto
the page without having to scroll or reload. For more information about the directory
information that is presented, see #2.

2) County/Township Listings
Clicking on the county from the directory automatically retrieves and displays the
contents of your selection in a grid-like format on the main are of the page. Any
administrative offices (Assessor, Recorder, etc.) will be shown along with phone
numbers and website links (where applicable). When we display a relevant website
link to an office, it will be labeled as one of the following three types:
Website Only:
This label is displayed when the office has a website but it's strictly informational
containing items such as mission statements, hours of operation, available forms,
addresses, name of elected official, and so on.
Go To Data Online:
Go to data online refers to websites that contain online/accessible data.
This information can range from Grantor/Grantee Indexes, Document Images, and GIS
Maps to parcel information, tax data, or even a combination of GIS and others. In
some cases, a city may have a website containing data while the county may not.
When this occurs, the link is distinguished by the local office.
By Subscription Only:
Some counties and municipalities require registration - typically name and email
address only - and may charge a fee. In either case, the link to their site is labeled
as By Subscription Only. Also, some offices that charge a fee may allow limited
or short term access at no charge.
